Job summary

Scrumconnect Ltd. is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs and engineering delivery on public sector digital programmes. You will turn problems into clear, well-evidenced requirements and work with developers, architects and testers to ensure what is built matches needs.

Essential: active SC clearance, agile user stories & acceptance criteria, BPMN/UML modelling, API/data integration knowledge, Jira/Confluence experience. Public sector exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance, mandatory.
• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile team.
• Experience modelling processes and systems (eg BPMN, UML or similar).
• Good understanding of APIs, data models and system integration.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements with stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Model processes, data flows and system interfaces, including API and integration requirements.
• Work with developers, architects and testers to refine the backlog and clarify scope.
• Maintain requirements traceability from need through to delivery.
• Identify risks, dependencies and technical constraints, and raise them early.
• Support testing and UAT, and help prepare releases for go-live.
• Produce clear documentation and communicate it to technical and non-technical audiences.

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, plus benefits
Security Clearance: SC cleared is mandatory (candidates must currently hold active SC clearance)

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements with stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Model processes, data flows and system interfaces, including API and integration requirements.
• Work with developers, architects and testers to refine the backlog and clarify scope.
• Maintain requirements traceability from need through to delivery.
• Identify risks, dependencies and technical constraints, and raise them early.
• Support testing and UAT, and help prepare releases for go-live.
• Produce clear documentation and communicate it to technical and non-technical audiences.

What We are Looking For

Essential:

• Active SC clearance, mandatory.

• Experience modelling processes and systems (eg BPMN, UML or similar).
• Good understanding of APIs, data models and system integration.
• Experience working closely with development and test teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools.

Desirable:

• Experience on public sector or central government programmes.
• Familiarity with the GDS Service Standard.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
