Job summary

ghd in Cambridge is seeking a Lead Project Engineer (Technical Authority) to guide cross‑functional development of high‑end hair styling tools within R&D. The TA leads technical delivery, chairs architecture discussions, and ensures consumer centric design within a 9‑month FTC.

You will collaborate with the PM and PO, mentor engineers, manage uncertainties, and drive robust design decisions while maintaining high quality, on‑time execution and clear accountability.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong electronics experience.
• Experience transferring products into manufacture.
• Excellent planning and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication across disciplines and to management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical team to deliver product concepts.
• Align with PM/PO on status, schedule and deliverables.
• Oversee design, verification and validation across development phases.
• Coordinate with suppliers and EMS to ensure manufacture readiness.
• Mentor the team on agile practices and accountability.
