Qualifications

• Experience implementing documentation governance frameworks.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent organisational and information structuring capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Passion for documentation excellence and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with TOGAF and modelling standards such as UML.

What To Expect

The Lead Technical Writer is a key member of the Enterprise Architecture team, responsible for the documentation of functional strategies, always modelling the Post Office behaviours and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset.

The Lead Technical Writer Will

• standardise tools and ways of communicating, along with processes
• work closely with service managers, technology leaders and senior stakeholders to resource teams and resolve problems
• promote the discipline of technical writing
• keep up to date with industry changes

They will drive a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance across their teams, to drive decision-making across technology.
