Job summary

HS2 Ltd is seeking a Lead Technical Assurance Manager (Hybrid, London or Birmingham) to drive consistent technical assurance processes across contracts and projects. You will coordinate self-assurance evidence, liaise with safety and configuration teams, and support integration activities under the Head of Technical Assurance.

You will oversee a team of Senior Technical Assurance Managers and ensure delivery of compliant, auditable evidence while promoting equality, diversity and inclusion

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher engineering background with relevant sector experience.
• Knowledge of system engineering, QA control, and configuration management.
• Experience in major infrastructure or railway projects and risk analysis.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional recognition.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical assurance processes across multiple workstreams and contracts.
• Coordinate self-assurance evidence and contractor deliverables at stage milestones.
• Support development of department BAU and process improvements.
• Maintain KPI reporting and progress updates on integration activities.
• Lead and develop the Technical Assurance team and manage workload distribution.
