Job summary

RailwayPeople is seeking an Assurance Manager to join the HS2 Integration Directorate in London or Birmingham. Hybrid work model with two days WFH, leading technical assurance across major contracts and coordinating with contractors, designers and HS2 functions to ensure integrated, compliant outputs.

You will manage multidisciplinary interfaces, review assurance evidence, and deliver briefings while engaging with engineers, designers and HS2 teams to uphold high standards.

Qualifications

Salary: £57,637 - £67,807
Location: London or Birmingham (Hybrid 2 days WFH)

An opportunity is available for an Assurance Manager to join the HS2 Integration Directorate, supporting the delivery of one or more major contracts across the programme. This is a delivery-facing, contractor-facing role where you will take ownership of technical assurance activities within a defined area, working closely with contractors and design organisations to ensure engineering and design outputs are properly assured, integrated and delivered to the required standards. You will work across HS2 functions including Risk, Requirements, Configuration and Change, and BIM, while managing interfaces between different disciplines and organisations. The role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a major multidisciplinary high-speed rail programme, requiring strong stakeholder management, technical understanding and the ability to engage confidently with engineers, designers, contractors and HS2 teams.

What You'll Need:

• Rail experience is essential; high-speed rail experience is highly desirable.
• Understanding of systems engineering and technical integration.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 requirements.
• Strong stakeholder and supply chain management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across different engineering disciplines.
• Experience authoring and reviewing technical documentation.

Desirable:

• Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management principles.
