Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking a Technical Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term basis to support product specifications, QA activities, and the Quality Management System within our Wednesbury facility.

You will assist with GMP audits, sample data submission, and factory trials while developing technical knowledge in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• A recent graduate with a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience in technical, quality or food manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Product Specifications Coordinator and Production teams with new and existing product specifications and QA activities.
• Support the control and maintenance of the Quality Management System, including document control and revision of procedures and forms.
• Coordinate GMP audits and ensure areas are regularly assessed to maintain compliance.
• Submit laboratory sample data and maintain accurate records.
• Support planning, organisation and communication of factory trials.
• Coordinate product and environmental sampling activities.
• Assist with technical projects and completion of information requests.
• Support continuous improvement activities across the Technical function.

Telford/Wednesbury/Dudley | Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00

Your Key Responsibilities As a Technical Assistant Will Include

• Assisting the Product Specifications Coordinator and Production teams with new and existing product specifications and quality assurance activities
