Job Title: Technical/Data Architect - Azure Integration (Outside IR35)
Contract Rate: £450-£475 per day
Location: Remote (occasional on-site may be required)
Contract Type: Outside IR35
Duration: Initial Contract - Extensions Likely

My client, a small but highly capable consultancy, is currently supporting a major UK government body on a large-scale SQL-to-SQL data transformation project. As part of this engagement, they are identifying key data assets across multiple legacy systems and preparing for migration to a new Azure-based environment.

They are now looking to engage a Technical/Data Architect to support both integration and design efforts across this transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop script-based integration between two legacy systems and a new Azure service.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand existing data flows and system behaviours.
• Create both high-level and low-level design documentation for the new cloud architecture on Azure.
• Provide architectural guidance on data migration and system interoperability.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a Technical or Data Architect, ideally in public sector or large-scale transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, particularly in the context of data and system integration.
• Experience scripting integration between legacy systems and cloud platforms.
• Ability to produce clear, robust architectural documentation.

Contract Details:

• Rate: £450-£475 per day
• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
• Location: Primarily remote; occasional on-site meetings may be required (1-2 times during the contract)
