Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking a highly experienced Technical Architect with strong Microsoft Active Directory expertise to design and deliver secure, enterprise-scale identity solutions within a high-assurance environment. The role can be based out of Hampshire or Newcastle.

The contract is initially 5-6 months and may extend. The rate is £85-£95 per hour Inside IR35, with expenses paid for travel. DV cleared candidates are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as Technical Architect / Senior SME in secure environments.
• Expert-level Microsoft Active Directory / AD DS in enterprise multi-domain/forest setups.
• Experience with ADFS, Kerberos, NTLM and LDAP.
• Strong identity and security architecture knowledge including PAM and tiered administration.
• Proven HLD/LLD and technical design documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Active Directory architecture, design and technical delivery.
• Design complex domains, forests, trusts, replication and GPO strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and act as the AD SME.
• Design tiered administration, PAM, PAW and least-privilege solutions.
• Architect ADFS, authentication and identity integrations.
• Produce HLDs, LLDs, security designs and technical documentation.
• Conduct AD health checks, security assessments and remediation.
• Support complex identity incidents and technical troubleshooting.
• Use PowerShell for automation and administration.
• Work closely with security, infrastructure, application teams and customers.

Essential Experience

• Strong background as a Technical Architect / Solutions Architect / Senior SME
• Expert-level Microsoft Active Directory / AD DS experience
• Enterprise multi-domain / multi-forest environments
• Strong knowledge of GPO, DNS, DHCP, replication and trusts
• Experience with ADFS, Kerberos, NTLM and LDAP
• Strong identity and security architecture knowledge, including PAM, PAW and tiered administration
• Proven HLD/LLD and technical design documentation experience
• Strong PowerShell skills
• Experience working within secure or highly regulated environments
