CBS Butler is seeking a highly experienced Technical Architect with strong Microsoft Active Directory expertise to design and deliver secure, enterprise-scale identity and directory solutions within a high-assurance environment. The role is based in the UK with DV clearance and initial terms of 5-6 months.

Key responsibilities include leading AD architecture, design and delivery, crafting domain/forest/trust strategies, and producing security designs and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong background as a Technical Architect/Solutions Architect/Senior SME.
• Expert-level Microsoft Active Directory/AD DS experience.
• Experience in multi-domain/multi-forest enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of GPO, DNS, DHCP, replication and trusts.
• Experience with ADFS, Kerberos, NTLM and LDAP.

Technical Architect - AD SME

+ DV Cleared role

+ Can be based out of Hampshire, Newcastle

+ Initialy 5-6 months but expected to be longer term

+ £85 to £95 per hour - Inside IR35

+ Expenses paid for travel

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Architect with strong Microsoft Active Directory expertise to design and deliver secure, enterprise-scale identity and directory solutions within a high-assurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Active Directory architecture, design and technical delivery
• Design complex domains, forests, trusts, replication and GPO strategies
• Provide technical leadership and act as the AD SME
• Design tiered administration, PAM, PAW and least-privilege solutions
• Architect ADFS, authentication and identity integrations
• Produce HLDs, LLDs, security designs and technical documentation
• Conduct AD health checks, security assessments and remediation
• Support complex identity incidents and technical troubleshooting
• Use PowerShell for automation and administration
• Work closely with security, infrastructure, application teams and customers

Essential Experience

• Strong background as a Technical Architect/Solutions Architect/Senior SME
• Expert-level Microsoft Active Directory/AD DS experience
• Enterprise multi-domain/multi-forest environments
• Strong knowledge of GPO, DNS, DHCP, replication and trusts
• Experience with ADFS, Kerberos, NTLM and LDAP
• Strong identity and security architecture knowledge, including PAM, PAW and tiered administration
• Proven HLD/LLD and technical design documentation experience
• Strong PowerShell skills
• Experience working within secure or highly regulated environments
