Job summary

Involved Solutions seeks a Technical Architect to work remotely with 2 days per week in London, supporting government transformation programmes. You will lead discovery, shape scalable technical solutions and guide decisions with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires broad technical architecture experience across cloud, data, integration and digital services, with delivery across complex environments.

Technical Architect - £675pd - Inside IR35 - 12 months

Location: Remote with 2 days a week in London

The role:

A leading Government Department are seeking a Technical Architect to work across a portfolio of complex service transformation programmes, helping government departments understand their existing technology landscape, identify problems and shape practical, scalable technical solutions.

This is not a traditional architecture role. You'll be working in a consultancy-style capacity, getting into discovery and fact-finding, working with senior stakeholders and technical teams, and helping shape the right technical approach rather than simply producing architecture documentation.

You’ll need:

• Strong Technical/Solution Architecture experience across a broad range of technologies, particularly cloud, integration, data and digital services
• Experience leading technical discovery, solution design and technical decision-making
• A good understanding of digital infrastructure and how technology is used across complex organisations
• Experience redesigning or evolving technical solutions within complex environments
• Strong stakeholder skills - someone comfortable talking to senior leaders, understanding problems and explaining technical options to non-technical audiences
• Experience working closely with multidisciplinary teams including service designers, product managers, user researchers, business stakeholders, engineers and data specialists
• The ability to operate across multiple programmes and adapt quickly as priorities change
• Ideally, experience within Government/public sector or another highly complex/regulated environment, although strong private-sector consultancy experience will be considered
• GDS Service Standard / Technology Principles and service transformation experience would be advantageous
