NRG is seeking an experienced Network Technical Architect in the North East of England to design, implement and own complex network solutions across public and private sectors. You will engage with senior stakeholders, translate business challenges into technical architectures and collaborate with MSP-style delivery teams.
The role balances strategic design with hands-on engineering, covering routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs and security.
NRG is working in partnership with an established and highly regarded IT Consultancy to recruit an experienced Network Technical Architect.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative technical team within a business delivering complex networking, cloud, infrastructure and cyber security solutions to customers across the public and private sectors.
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical networking expertise with excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders, understand business challenges and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
The successful candidate will take ownership of network architecture and design while remaining actively involved in the implementation and delivery of solutions. This is a varied role that requires someone equally comfortable with strategic design and hands‑on engineering.
The business is based in the North East of England and is looking for someone who can attend the office regularly when required.
Candidates based within a reasonable commuting distance are preferred, although applications from suitably experienced professionals across the wider region, including Yorkshire, will be considered.
If you're an experienced Network Architect, Technical Architect or Senior Network Engineer looking for an opportunity to combine technical design, hands‑on delivery and customer engagement, we'd be keen to hear from you.
