Job summary

Maxwell Bond is seeking a Technical Architect to lead the future architecture of a SaaS platform, transitioning from single-tenant to multi-tenant architecture. This strategic, hands-on role works with engineering leadership to set standards, shape design and drive adoption of modern cloud and AI technologies.

You will own the platform architecture, guide API strategy, data platform decisions and cloud service selection, while balancing technical excellence with business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solutions or Technical Architect in customer-facing SaaS environments.
• Experience with multi-tenant architecture is highly desirable.
• Strong background in Azure, C#/.NET, API design and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform architecture and technical roadmap, leading the transition to a scalable multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Act as the technical design authority, guiding architectural decisions across APIs, integrations, data platforms and cloud services.

Salary: Up to £85,000

Maxwell Bond have partnered with an innovative SaaS business in the utilities sector that's investing heavily in its technology platform. They're looking for a Technical Architect to lead the future technical direction of their customer platform as they transition from a single-tenant to a multi-tenant architecture.

This is a strategic, hands-on architecture role where you'll work closely with engineering leadership to define technical standards, shape platform design and drive the adoption of modern cloud and AI technologies.

What you'll do as Technical Architect:

• Own the platform architecture and technical roadmap, leading the transition to a scalable multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Act as the technical design authority, guiding architectural decisions across APIs, integrations, data platforms and cloud services.
• Define modern solutions across event-driven architecture, AI, orchestration and API strategy, balancing technical excellence with commercial considerations.
