Job summary

WeDoTech is seeking a Senior Software Architect for a remote-first UK role with approximately 1 day per month on-site in Northampton. This permanent position leads the technical execution of a major greenfield platform transformation, guiding API-first, AI-led development and cloud-native design.

You will mentor two architects and collaborate with software, hardware and platform specialists to deliver a scalable solution that aligns with the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the software architecture across a major greenfield platform programme.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to two Software Architects.
• Drive engineering best practices and architectural standards across development teams.
• Work closely with Solution, Platform and Hardware Architects to deliver an integrated platform, including IoT connectivity.
• Design scalable, cloud-native applications using modern architectural patterns.
• Champion API-first, AI-first and AI-assisted development approaches.
• Guide technical decisions around distributed systems, scalability and performance.
• Support delivery of key milestones towards the programme's Proof of Concept and phased product releases.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful execution of the product roadmap.
