Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in London are seeking a Technical Designer to develop and coordinate technical information for commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, from design development through to construction.

You will produce detailed drawings using Revit, coordinate design information with Design Managers, consultants and subcontractors, and help ensure buildable, construction-ready information across multiple schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Technical Designer, Architectural Technician, Technical Coordinator or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, with focus on detailed technical information.
• Experience on commercial fit-out, refurbishment or interior construction projects.
• Understanding of construction detailing, design coordination and buildability.
• Ability to interpret design intent into practical, construction-ready information.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project requirements.

Responsibilities

Fawkes & Reece are working with a specialist main contractor delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment schemes, looking to bring a Technical Designer into their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of design, producing detailed drawings and supporting the delivery of complex projects from design development through to construction.

The Role

As a Technical Designer, you’ll play a key role in developing and coordinating technical design information across a range of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects. Working closely with the wider design and project teams, you’ll help ensure designs are practical, coordinated and ready for construction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing detailed technical drawings and design packages using Revit.
• Developing coordinated design information for commercial fit-out and refurbishment schemes.
• Working closely with Design Managers, project teams, consultants and subcontractors.
• Reviewing and resolving technical design issues to ensure buildability.
• Coordinating architectural layouts, construction details and associated design information.
• Supporting projects through design development and into the construction phase.
• Maintaining accurate drawing packages and ensuring information is issued in line with project requirements.

About You

We’re looking for a technically strong designer who understands the demands of commercial refurbishment and interior fit-out projects.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience in a Technical Designer, Architectural Technician, Technical Coordinator or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, with a particular focus on producing detailed technical information.
• Experience working on commercial fit-out, refurbishment or interior construction projects.
