We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Technical Apprentice to join our technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the insulated panels industry, working alongside experienced professionals while studying towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship with a local college. You’ll rotate across the business, gaining exposure to multiple departments, and build the foundations for a rewarding career in construction and building envelopes.
Main Purpose of Role:
The Technical Apprentice will support the Technical department while undertaking a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme. This role provides the opportunity to gain practical experience within the construction and building envelope industry, developing technical knowledge and professional skills through a structured programme of work‑based learning and college study.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced members of the Technical team and gain exposure to a range of business functions, helping to build a solid foundation for a future career within the construction sector.
Main Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer technical enquiries via telephone, email and online platforms.
- Provide product information and technical guidance to customers, distributors and industry professionals.
- Assist with technical calculations, including gutter and fastener calculations, under supervision.
- Attend Design Team Meetings (DTMs) and contribute to technical discussions.
- Utilise Salesforce and other business systems to manage enquiries, update project information and maintain accurate records.
- Support the delivery of technical projects and departmental objectives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments to develop a broad understanding of the business.
- Attend college as required under the apprenticeship programme and successfully complete all associated coursework and assessments.
- Maintain compliance with company health, safety and quality procedures.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the level of the role.

- Ability to travel to other company sites when required.
- Lives within a reasonable commuting distance of the designated site.
- Ability to commute to both the Euroclad offices in St Mellons and the Coleg Y Cymoedd site either in Nantgarw or Aberdare.
- GCSEs (or equivalent), particularly in Math’s, English and Science.
- Previous work experience, work placement or project work in a technical, engineering or construction-related environment.
- Awareness of construction products or building systems.

Training and Development:
The successful candidate will:
- Complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme through a recognised training provider/college.
- Receive structured on‑job training and mentoring.
- Gain exposure to multiple business functions and technical disciplines.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday.
- College attendance as required under the apprenticeship programme.
