Job summary

Encord is hiring a Technical Program Manager in London to run high-stakes human data projects for frontier AI labs and robotics applications. You will translate ML requirements into annotation workflows, set standards, and own delivery timelines.

You will lead annotator teams, resolve edge cases, and deliver measurable results across multiple projects in different time zones. You will work closely with ML teams to ensure the data produced meets model needs, and you will drive process

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of professional experience in AI data or annotation operations or related roles.
• End-to-end ownership of complex, multi-stakeholder workflows with outcome responsibility.
• Working proficiency in Python or SQL.
• Experience managing, coaching or performance-managing a distributed workforce.
• Track record of holding quality and throughput simultaneously.
• Ability to translate a detailed technical spec into actionable instructions for others.
• Bonus: experience with annotation, evaluation or model-training workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of projects end to end — throughput, quality and timeline.
• Translate ML requirements into clear annotation workflows and data artefacts.
• Become the deepest expert on annotation standards for your project.
• Maintain quality via process refinement and structured feedback.
• Train annotators and scale the team with Learning & Development support.
• Coach annotation teams, provide context and develop skills as work gets harder.
• Measure annotator performance and make staffing decisions accordingly.
• Allocate tasks and manage queues to meet throughput and quality targets.
• Incorporate measurable criteria at launch with the Quality Systems Lead.
• Produce delivery reporting for customers and surface risks early.
• Partner with Product and Engineering on process and tooling improvements.
