ABOUT YOU

We are looking to recruit an efficient and enthusiastic Technical Administrator for our West Thurrock facility. We seek a dynamic, self-motivated, ambitious person, keen to learn, able to interact with colleagues, and willing to help build new initiatives and drive efficiencies.

Required skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in an administration role is beneficial but not required.
  • Good IT literacy skills, especially in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional and responsible.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Personable and customer focused.
  • Strong administration skills with the ability to use Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams comfortably.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will be at the heart of the site’s operational and administrative functions. You will work alongside the Laboratory Operations Manager to provide operational and administrative support.

Key Activities:

  • Coordinate and support the Goods In department.
  • Receive samples and log their arrival.
  • Log the samples into the Laboratory System.
  • Administer the LIMS system.
  • Prepare and organize samples for distribution to other sites.
  • Distribute samples to the labs on-site for analysis.
  • Purchase and order consumables, handling the associated paperwork, storage, and distribution of the purchased goods.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, archiving, and working with Excel spreadsheets.
