Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an End User Computing (EUC) team member to apply customer service and administrative skills to support a positive patient care impact.

Reporting to the EUC Operations Team Leaders, you will understand IT hardware needs across the Trust, liaise with suppliers, order equipment and software, maintain the EUC Hardware Catalogue, and assist with the EUC Hardware Refresh Programme.

Qualifications

  • GCSE or ECDL level or healthcare experience required.
  • Knowledge of IT hardware specs and software.
  • Technical knowledge of Windows desktop OS (Windows 11) and Office suite.
  • Experience with an IT Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels and manage data input.

Job Summary

Are you ready to use your customer service and administrative skills in a way that makes a positive impact on people’s lives? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to become a member of our End User Computing team within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Reporting to the EUC Operations Team Leaders, your role will be to understand the IT hardware needs of departments and CSUs across the Trust as well as the day-to-day needs of the EUC Operations Team. This will involve advising on the availability of equipment, liaising with suppliers, ordering equipment and software (in response to Service Desk tickets), keeping up to date with the latest technology, maintaining the EUC Hardware Catalogue, stock control and record-keeping, liaising with waste contractors to ensure sustainability and environmental objectives are being met, and assisting with the EUC Hardware Refresh Programme.

What You Will Bring To The Role
  • Minimum GCSE Level / ECDL level standard of education or minimum of three years’ experience of working in a Healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of IT hardware specifications and software
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems (including Windows 11) and Office suite
  • Experience of an IT Service Desk call-logging system
  • Able to manage own workload, and work within clearly defined operating policies without supervision
  • Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff within the Trust and liaise with external organisations such as PC and peripheral suppliers; good communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels
  • Accurate data input and manipulation skills
  • Knowledge of stock control (desirable) and auditing
  • Commitment and enthusiasm with a keen desire to attain high standards within a service environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales as part of a team or on own, remaining focused and concentrated for prolonged periods
