Job summary

TalentHawk is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its Technical Accounting & External Reporting team. This role blends IFRS expertise with financial reporting, supporting complex accounting matters, external reporting, group consolidation, SOX controls, and statutory accounts.

Based in Central London with hybrid working (2–3 days in the office), the successful candidate should be a qualified accountant with 2+ years post-qualification experience, strong IFRS knowledge, and excellent

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Approximately 2+ years’ post-qualification experience.
• Experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and research skills.
• Listed company experience is advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and results-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical accounting papers and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide accounting guidance on complex transactions and business initiatives.
• Support implementation of new IFRS standards and maintain accounting policies.
• Produce disclosures for half-year and annual reporting requirements.
• Operate and document key SOX controls.
• Support month-end group consolidation, including journals, eliminations, and reporting reviews.
• Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and head office reporting.
• Build relationships across finance teams and support financial reporting initiatives.
