Our FTSE 10 listed client operates nationally significant energy infrastructure and plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of energy across Great Britain. They are seeking a technically strong ACA/ACCA from practice who has already moved into industry and is now looking for their next move. A standout opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career in a market-leading plc.
You'll work on high-profile reporting matters, complex accounting issues and emerging IFRS developments while gaining exposure to stakeholders across a globally recognised organisation.
You'll provide technical accounting advice on large and complex transactions, draft accounting papers and liaise directly with external auditors, whilst playing a key role in the production of the Group's half-year and full-year external reporting.
The role also offers exposure to new accounting standards including IFRS 18 and IFRS 20, ownership of key reporting and SOX controls, participation in the Group consolidation process and the opportunity to build relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
Our client is looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) already in industry who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a genuine interest in IFRS and financial reporting.
Candidates may have developed their technical expertise in practice or within a listed environment, but will be naturally curious, proactive and confident researching and resolving complex accounting issues.
You'll be a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior colleagues and building relationships across a large organisation. Most importantly, you'll be ambitious, adaptable and looking for a career-enhancing opportunity within a globally recognised business offering excellent visibility, development and progression prospects.
