Job summary

NACBA is partnering with a fast-growing technology company to hire a Technical Accounting Manager on a permanent basis. You will report to the Head of Technical Accounting and work within the Group team, shaping the technical accounting framework during a period of change.

This role is ideal for someone stepping out of practice into industry, or advancing from an existing Technical Accounting position. You will lead policy development, disclosures, and liaison with auditors.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified, ideally from a Top 10 practice
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards
• Able to summarise technical matters for multiple audiences
• Excellent communication skills and able to translate complex accounting into clear business language

Responsibilities

• Advise group and unit finance/commercial teams on the accounting implications of deals and new contracts, reviewing the supporting analysis.
• Deliver regular accounting training to finance teams across the group.
• Lead group implementation of new and amended accounting standards.
• Set, review and monitor adherence to group accounting policies.
• Own key group accounting processes, goodwill impairment, share-based payments, going concern and long-term viability.
• Contribute accounting content to quarterly Audit Committee and Board papers.
• Own and review year-end and interim financial statement disclosures.
• Liaise with external auditors on accounting judgements and the group audit.
