Job description

Job Title: Technical Accounting Manager

A large international business with offices near Bristol is recruiting a Technical Accounting Manager to manage a small team focused on Fixed and Lease Assets. Working within the central accounting team, the key responsibilities include:

1. Owning the Fixed and Lease Asset accounting, ensuring the application of best practices, process improvements, standardization, and effective controls.
2. Day-to-day team management.
3. Business partnering with internal and external stakeholders regarding the management and maintenance of ongoing leases.
4. Serving as the central point of contact for Fixed and Lease Assets for the UK businesses.
5. Collaborating with the capital investment team on capital expenditure proposals and overseeing the process to support successful delivery of the capex portfolio.

Job Details

The ideal candidate will be a technically strong qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in managing and developing a team, and demonstrable experience in reviewing and improving processes. This role may suit candidates from practice (including those transitioning from practice) or industry, with relevant experience in technical, group reporting, or audit roles.
