Job description

The Vacancy

Pro IS, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Technical Accountant - Bordeaux. The successful candidate will support our clients with various functions, including technical accounting and claims operations. This position can be part-time or full-time, working remotely during daytime hours in the USA. Reinsurance experience, understanding of contract language, and experience with treaties/bordereaux are required. Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements.

Main Responsibilities

1. Review client submissions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all supporting documentation is received.
2. Perform technical accounting and claims duties, including booking premiums and claims transactions accurately into systems.
3. Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance teams, and clients to resolve queries and data issues.
4. Support ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Desirable Skills and Experience

1. At least 1 year of experience in reinsurance/insurance operations (required).
2. College degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent insurance work experience.
3. Ability to multitask across multiple systems and accounts, managing deadlines and priorities.
4. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.
