Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Program and Project Manager in Newcastle Upon-Tyne to lead delivery across large-scale programmes. The role requires strong governance, data-driven decision making and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve client outcomes.

You will manage plans, budgets and risks while leveraging tools like MS Project, JIRA, Confluence and Power BI to provide transparent status reporting and stakeholder updates.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Manager delivering technology and/or business change projects.
• Experience using project reporting and analytics tools, e.g. Power BI.
• Experience managing project finances, risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive delivery to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of projects and workstreams within large-scale, high-complexity programmes.
• Create, manage and control project plans using standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project, JIRA, Confluence), tracking progress and managing delivery against agreed milestones.
• Use data and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) to provide project insights and support decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client stakeholders.
• Work closely with delivery teams to manage project status, dependencies, risks, issues and mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Financial Management teams to ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and commercial targets.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day project management activities, including scope, schedule, resource, risk, issue and change management, ensuring successful project outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement, governance and quality management activities to enhance project performance and delivery excellence.
