Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking a Program and Project Manager in Newcastle upon Tyne to lead the delivery of large, high‑complexity technology and business‑change programs, coordinating cross‑functional teams and aligning delivery with client objectives.

You will create and maintain project plans using MS Project, JIRA and Confluence, use Power BI for insights, manage budgets, risks and dependencies, and report progress to stakeholders while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technology and/or business change projects.
• Experience using project reporting/analytics tools such as Power BI.
• Experience managing project finances, risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive delivery to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of projects and workstreams within large-scale, high-complexity programmes.
• Create, manage and control project plans using standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project, JIRA, Confluence), tracking progress and managing delivery against agreed milestones.
• Use data and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) to provide project insights and support decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client stakeholders.
• Work closely with delivery teams to manage project status, dependencies, risks, issues and mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Financial Management teams to ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and commercial targets.
• Take responsibility for day‑to‑day project management activities, including scope, schedule, resource, risk, issue and change management, ensuring successful project outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement, governance and quality management activities to enhance project performance and delivery excellence.
