Job summary

Rothstein Recruitment is seeking a Private Equity Principal focused on Technology Investments in London. You will lead the investment lifecycle, from origination to exit, collaborating with senior decision-makers and portfolio teams to drive growth in technology-enabled businesses across Europe.

The role requires 6–9 years across IB/strategy/PE with at least 3 years in PE, and strong skills in financial modelling, deal sourcing, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of relevant experience across investment banking, strategy consulting and/or private equity.
• Minimum 3 years of private equity investing experience.
• Demonstrable exposure to technology investments (software, SaaS, fintech, digital services).

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities.
• Manage multiple transaction workstreams with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct financial, commercial and strategic analysis to support decisions.
• Assess investment risks and value creation opportunities.
• Present recommendations to investment committees.
• Build relationships with entrepreneurs, management teams and advisers.
• Source proprietary and off-market opportunities using a strong network.
• Support portfolio companies on strategic initiatives and growth plans.
• Mentor and develop junior investment professionals.
