Job summary

Rothstein Recruitment seeks a Private Equity Director/Managing Director to lead investments in technology across Europe, overseeing the full lifecycle from origination to exits and shaping portfolio value creation with senior leadership.

You will drive deal execution, mentor junior professionals and build a robust Western European mid-market pipeline, with emphasis on software, fintech and tech-enabled services.

Qualifications

• Approximately 9-15 years of relevant professional experience gained across private equity, investment banking and/or strategy consulting.
• 6+ years of private equity investing experience.
• Significant exposure to technology investments, particularly: B2B Software, SaaS, Technology-Enabled Services, FinTech, Digital Infrastructure, Related technology subsectors.
• Relevant experience investing in Western European mid-market businesses.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment, structuring and execution of new investment opportunities across the technology sector.
• Drive transaction processes from origination through due diligence, negotiation, execution and post-investment ownership.
• Develop independent investment theses and sector views supported by deep market analysis and commercial insight.
• Present investment recommendations and strategic perspectives to senior investment professionals and investment committees.
• Assess key investment risks, value creation opportunities and competitive dynamics.
