Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to lead a Windows-to-Linux migration for a global industrial equipment supplier. You will be the architect-level technical authority, guiding 30–40 engineers while remaining hands-on with code.

You will work on embedded Linux, modify C# apps for Linux, and collaborate with the Germany team to shape platform architecture on a Debian-based system. Travel to Germany may be required.

Qualifications

• Windows to Linux migration experience is essential.
• Hands-on embedded Linux development with C/C++.
• 3+ years in OO development (C++, C#).
• Experience with Debian-based platforms and Git.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to a Windows-to-Linux migration team.
• Shape platform direction with Linux expertise.
• Modify C# code to run on Linux and work with embedded C/C++.
• Collaborate with Germany office to align development.
• Develop platform architecture on a Debian-based Linux platform.
• Produce technical specifications and documentation.
• Support defect identification with the Software Test Team.
• Port C# apps to Linux and ensure GUI/HMI compatibility.
