The role

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the delivery of the technical roadmap, forecasting dependencies, and helping to unblock the team.
  2. Understanding the long-term production strategy for calibration and aligning the calibration technical roadmap accordingly.
  3. Assisting the team to balance urgent operational requirements with long-term roadmap delivery.
  4. Collaborating with technical stakeholders to define SLAs for calibration.
  5. Scaling fleet operations and increasing automation, monitoring, and observability of the pipeline to free up time for roadmap development.
  6. Preparing the team for increased scalability and modularity of the calibration pipeline, including decoupling core algorithms from sensor standardization to make it platform-agnostic.
About you

To succeed as a TLM at Wayve, you should possess the following skills and experiences:

Essential

  1. Technical leadership in areas such as multi-modal calibration, SLAM, computer vision, or estimation, with a proven track record of building scalable, automated pipelines and managing technical roadmaps.

  3. Ability to interface effectively with product and program teams to plan, prioritize, and adapt to changing requirements.
  4. Strategic decision-making skills, including navigating shifting priorities and making data-driven trade-offs.

Desirable

  1. Experience building calibration systems for sensor suites used in autonomous driving or robotics.
  2. Experience developing calibration systems in both cloud and real-time/on-robot environments.
  3. Proven ability to take proof-of-concept algorithms through to production.
  4. Knowledge of SLAM, sensor fusion algorithms, and nonlinear least squares optimization.

We recognize that everyone has unique skills and experiences. If you're passionate about self-driving cars and eager to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.
