Job summary

Neo4j in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Tech Lead for GraphAware Hume, guiding platform architecture and cutting-edge graph analytics. You will own core graph-powered systems, drive technical direction across teams, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product managers to shape scalable roadmaps.

You will work with Neo4j, Cypher, and related ecosystems, pushing performance, security, and deployment best practices in a fast-moving, globally-distributed team.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on Neo4j expertise including Cypher performance optimization and ecosystem familiarity.
• Modelled real domains as property graphs and reason about nodes, relationships, and properties.
• Track record of leading architecture and technical direction for a team or product area.
• Proven ability to drive consensus across engineering teams for large-scale changes.
• 8+ years of backend experience with large-scale applications and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Driving platform architecture and technical direction across transversal foundations used by feature teams.
• Owning our Neo4j strategy: testing new releases and migrations, assessing changes.
• Optimizing Cypher queries for latency, throughput, and scale.
• Mentoring engineers and raising the team's technical bar in Neo4j without formal management.
• Partnering with Product Managers to translate long-term goals into scalable roadmaps.
• Designing secure, scalable access control systems for mission-critical environments.
• Orchestrating workflows to automate graph analytics and real-time insights.
