Job summary

Hedgehog Lab is seeking a Tech Lead to steer engineering for a large-scale marketplace during a multi-year AWS-based transformation. You’ll guide the shift from PHP/Laravel to a service-oriented AWS stack using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python, with Terraform or CDK for IaC, while keeping delivery on track.

The role requires hands-on technical breadth across cloud, architecture, data, auth, front-end and APIs, plus the ability to set standards and drive architectural decisions in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Breadth across cloud, architecture, data, auth, front-end and APIs.
• Experience building service-based platforms in AWS with IaC (Terraform or CDK).
• Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python; able to read PHP (Laravel).
• Sets engineering standards and communicates decisions with authority.
• Experience leading delivery in a fast-moving, complex environment.
• Strong English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering on a high-volume online marketplace during a major transformation.
• Oversee migration to AWS and a service-based architecture built with TypeScript, JavaScript and Python.
• Set technical direction and maintain delivery momentum across teams.
