Job summary

JobCubby is seeking a Tech Lead to steer engineering on a high-volume marketplace undergoing a major AWS-based transformation. The role covers cloud, data, auth, front-end and API work, with hands-on development in TypeScript, JavaScript and Python, while reading PHP (Laravel) as needed.

You will set technical direction across the shift to a service-based AWS architecture and lead delivery in a fast-paced environment, ensuring standards are maintained and decisions are communicated with clarity.

Qualifications

• Essentials: principal-level breadth across cloud, architecture, data, auth, front-end and APIs.
• Track record building service-based platforms in AWS, with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CDK).
• You write TypeScript, JavaScript and Python, and can read and work with PHP (Laravel).
• Set and hold engineering standards, and communicate decisions with authority.
• Comfortable leading delivery in a fast-moving, complex environment.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
