Job summary

Jobtailor in Greater London is seeking a senior lead to steer the refactoring of legacy applications under a Tech Debt programme, guiding technical design and ensuring architectural alignment across teams.

You will oversee the technical design, development, and cloud migration of key applications to AWS, review artefacts, and collaborate with client teams and suppliers in a complex, multi-supplier environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical delivery for application migrations to AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong track record working in complex, multi-supplier project environments.
• Demonstrated experience with integration design or overseeing integration-focused components.
• Familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Struts, or JSF (nice to have).
• Familiarity with core libraries such as Apache Commons or Guava (nice to have).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Swagger/OpenAPI (nice to have).
• Prior experience delivering digital transformation or cloud projects within the UK public sector (nice to have).
• Completion of the linked free education/training course.
