Job summary

NEVER.NO UK LTD in Manchester, England, is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to run a small, high‑performing team of engineers building products that deliver real business value.

This is a hands‑on leadership role combining software engineering, coaching, architectural direction and delivery leadership, with a focus on cloud‑native AWS deployments and using AI to improve delivery, quality and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production systems.
• Experience leading engineers or small delivery teams.
• Practical AWS and cloud‑native architecture experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
• Experience working within Agile product teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 software engineers from our Manchester office.
• Stay hands‑on, guiding architecture, engineering standards and technical decisions.
• Deliver scalable, secure and reliable cloud‑native products on AWS.
• Drive a "build it, own it, run it" engineering culture.
• Improve delivery flow, remove blockers and help the team ship value quickly.
• Champion engineering best practices across testing, CI/CD, observability and operational excellence.
• Work closely with Product, Design and other business stakeholders to turn priorities into successful outcomes.
• Encourage pragmatic adoption of AI tools to improve engineering productivity and quality.
