Job summary

Mace is seeking a Finance Business Partner to drive strategic financial support for our technology function. You will partner with IT and digital leadership to shape the technology strategy, challenge business cases and optimise technology spend.

The role covers budgeting, forecasting, multi-year planning, and performance reporting. You will influence senior stakeholders, manage capital and operating expenditure, and ensure strong governance across technology programmes.

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
Experience partnering with technology, digital or transformation teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Strong financial planning and analysis experience.
Strong commercial acumen and business case development skills.
Advanced Excel, financial modelling and reporting capabilities.
Experience in large-scale technology transformation programmes.
Knowledge of IT operating models and cloud technologies.
Experience with ERP systems, SaaS platforms and IT cost allocation models.
Knowledge of project accounting and capitalisation principles.

Responsibilities

Strategic business partnering with IT and digital leadership to develop and deliver technology strategy.
Provide financial insight and challenge on investment decisions, business cases, transformation programmes, and digital initiatives.
Support prioritisation of technology spends to maximise business value.
Act as a trusted adviser on financial risks and opportunities.
Manage annual budgeting and forecasting for the Digital function.
Develop multi-year technology financial plans and monitor Opex/Capex.
Provide month-end, quarter-end and year-end forecasts.
Produce insightful financial reporting for technology leadership.
Analyse variances against budget and forecast; identify cost-saving opportunities.
Develop KPI and dashboard reporting to support decision-making.
Review and challenge business cases for technology investment.
Support governance processes for digital transformation programmes.
Ensure benefits tracking and post-investment reviews.
Monitor achievement of approved business case benefits.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance; support audits.
Identify and mitigate financial risks; ensure proper treatment of project/capital expenditure.
