Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic in London Beckton seeks a Team Technician to operate and maintain production lines for iconic beverages. You will monitor equipment, uphold safety, quality and environmental standards while contributing to continuous improvement on a fast-paced FMCG site.

You'll work across shifts, troubleshoot issues, support asset care and help develop colleagues with best practices. GCSEs in Maths/English or equivalent preferred; on-site facilities and a comprehensive benefits package

• Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environment desirable.
• Good understanding of health, safety and quality standards.
• Comfortable using computer systems and interpreting technical information.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Salary: £28,929.61 - £31,154.96 + shift allowance (dependent on shift, please see below)

Working Pattern Options & Salary

• Double Days–8 hrs Mon-Thu, 7 hrs Fri – £28,929.61 + shift allowance (£3,936.96)
• Permanent Nights–8 hrs Mon-Thu, 7 hrs Fri – £28,929.61 + shift allowance (£8,052)
• 4 on 4 off–2 days12hrs6am-6pm, 2 nights12 hrs6pm-6am, 4 days off- £31,154.96 + shift allowance (£10,131.36)

PLEASE READ: If you are applying for the 4 on 4 off shift pattern, there will be a 6-month training period due to our new line 7, there will therefore be a requirement to travel to our Rugby site to be given a full induction on our equipment. Travel and expenses for this will be covered, but please speak to the team for further information.

About The Role

As a Team Technician at our Beckton manufacturing site, you'll help produce and package iconic brands including Pepsi, 7UP, Tango and R White's. Working in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you'll operate and maintain production equipment, ensuring safety, quality and performance standards are achieved while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain production equipment to deliver safety, quality and performance targets.
• Take ownership of health and safety, quality standards and housekeeping within your area.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support root cause problem solving.
• Drive asset care, equipment reliability and continuous improvement activities.
• Support and develop colleagues by sharing technical knowledge and best practice.
• Contribute to projects that improve plant performance, efficiency and ways of working.

Skills And Experience

• Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment is desirable.
• Good understanding of health, safety and quality standards.
• Comfortable using computer systems and interpreting technical information.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO and COSHH standards would be advantageous.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, or the ability to understand technical processes and documentation.
