Job summary

Engage Education is a specialist education recruitment agency with a dedicated team covering Merseyside. We are seeking Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Learning Support Assistants and SEN Support Workers to work across specialist schools in Woolton and the surrounding Liverpool areas.

Qualifications

• Current Team Teach training essential for some of our roles.
• Experience working within SEN, SEMH, PRU, AP or specialist school settings.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Using de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies

The role

You could be working within a specialist SEN school, alternative provision or dedicated SEND setting, supporting pupils to access learning and develop their confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
