Job summary

Engage Education is recruiting Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Learning Support Assistants and SEN Support Workers to work across specialist schools in Manchester and surrounding areas. You will support pupils with SEND, SEMH and complex needs, helping them access learning and develop confidence and independence.

Roles include 1:1 and small-group support, positive behaviour strategies and close collaboration with teachers and SENCOs.

Qualifications

• Current Team Teach training - essential for some roles
• Experience within SEN, SEMH, PRU, AP or specialist school settings
• Experience supporting challenging behaviour or complex needs
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Genuine passion for supporting children and young people
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Team Teach Trained SEN Support Staff - Manchester M20 & Surrounding Areas

Are you Team Teach trained and looking for your next SEN role?

We're currently recruiting Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Learning Support Assistants and SEN Support Workers to work across a number of specialist schools and SEN provisions in M20 and the surrounding Manchester areas.

If you have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH, challenging behaviour or complex needs, we'd love to hear from you.

The role

You could be working within a specialist SEN school, alternative provision or dedicated SEND setting, supporting pupils to access learning and develop their confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Using de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams
