Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd. is recruiting a Team Teach SEND teaching assistant for Swindon specialist schools. You will support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, using Team Teach strategies to promote positive behaviour and learning engagement.

Role is part-time, on-site, temporary with September start and potential for permanent roles. DBS required or to be obtained. Competitive PAYE pay and access to CPD provided.

Qualifications

• Team Teach training or willingness to refresh qualification.
• At least six months' experience supporting children or young people with Autism, complex SEND, or behaviours that challenge.
• Experience in SEND schools, specialist provisions, or therapeutic settings.
• Excellent communication and ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups using Team Teach strategies.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
