Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Team Secretary to join the Community Mental Health Team at Stewart Lodge, Yeatman Hospital in Sherborne. This part-time role (22.5 hours per week) covers a range of secretarial and administrative duties in a busy NHS environment.
You will support clinicians, manage day-to-day office tasks, handle calls, process referrals, book appointments, take minutes, and type letters.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Team Secretary to join the Community Mental Health Team based at Stewart Lodge, Yeatman Hospital in Sherborne. This is a part-time post for 22.5 hours per week, covering a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties.
The post holder will need to have developed IT skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and demonstrable experience of working in an office environment. You will be will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support. We are a busy team, and the post holder will be responsible for managing the day-to-day office-based tasks, following processes and procedures including handling phone calls, processing referrals to our systems, booking/arranging appointments for the clinicians, taking minutes when required, dealing with enquiries for the team and audio/copy typing of letters and minutes.
We work with vulnerable people so a compassionate telephone manner is essential. Previous NHS experience and experience of using the Rio patient records system will be an advantage. Being adaptive and flexible to the needs of the service and our client group is essential.
