Job summary

Mecca in Wakefield is hiring a Team Member to be the friendly face on the floor, serving great food and drinks and keeping the buzz alive from first hello to final game.

You will follow clear standards, support across areas, and undergo full training. Previous customer-service experience in hospitality/retail helps, but is not essential. Real contracts with 8–35 hours offer stability and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is helpful but not essential; full training provided.
• Ability to engage with customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication and teamwork across front-of-house roles.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders, serving food and drinks to customers.
• Keep queues moving, tables cleared, and venue tidy between sessions.
• Explain games and assist customers to ensure a fun and safe experience.
• Follow health, safety, and licensing procedures; report incidents promptly.

• Guest moments: greet, serve, and support customers so every visit feels special.
• Service delivery: keep queues moving, tables clear, and the venue tidy; reset quickly between sessions.
• Game support: help customers understand how our games work and keep energy high around the venue.
• Safety & compliance: follow health & safety, food hygiene, licensing and safer ‑ gambling procedures; challenge age ‑ restricted behaviours confidently; report incidents promptly.
• One ‑ team mindset: communicate clearly with colleagues and jump in where needed — F ront of house, floor, F ood & B everage , cleaning — so service flows smoothly.
