Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is recruiting a Team Manager for the North Warwickshire Family Help. Based at The Arden Centre, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, supervise social workers and family support staff, and ensure services are focused on the voices of young people.

You will develop policies, chair multiagency meetings, oversee safeguarding compliance, and lead HR and staff development. A professional Social Work qualification and SW England registration are essential.

• Strong analytical and reporting skills; able to make well-informed decisions.

About the Role

We are recruiting for the role of a Team Manager covering North Warwickshire Family Help on a full time/permanent basis.

The Family Help Team are based at The Arden Centre 120 Long Street Atherstone CV9 1AF

We are seeking a dedicated Team Manager who is wanting to progress. You will have direct strategic and operational responsibility.

You will be responsible for the supervision of Social Workers. If you join our team you will see that we are a busy, energetic and highly rewarding team to work for with a dedicated staff group whose passion is to capture and represent the voice of young people in all that we do and ensure that they are central to all decisions regarding their lives.

This role is pivotal in leading a team of Social Workers and Family Support Workers who provide critical support to Warwick Family Help.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team, tracking key performance indicators and priorities for theservice.
• Provide regular supervision and management oversight to Social Workers.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhanceservicedelivery.
• Attend and/or Chair key multiagency meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and safeguarding standards.
• Leading HR, performance management and absence management processes in addition to focusing on continuous staff development and training in promoting a learning culture

Key Requirements

Working hours – 37 hrs per week, with agile and flexible working options generally worked from 9am till 5.30 pm Monday – Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays.

Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.

• Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW)
• In depth experience in children's social work and experience of complex cases
• Have excellent analytical skills with ability to make well informed decisions
• Can record and produce concise, effective, and accurate reports
• Have good communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage with children and families
