Job summary

Warwickshire County Council seeks a dedicated Team Manager to lead North Warwickshire Family Help, overseeing Social Workers and Family Support Workers. Based at The Arden Centre, you will drive strategic and operational direction to ensure families' voices are central to decisions.

About the Role:

We are recruiting for the role of a Team Manager covering North Warwickshire Family Help on a full time/permanent basis.

The Family Help Team are based at The Arden Centre 120 Long Street Atherstone CV9 1AF

We are seeking a dedicated Team Manager who is wanting to progress. You will have direct strategic and operational responsibility.

You will be responsible for the supervision of Social Workers. If you join our team you will see that we are a busy, energetic and highly rewarding team to work for with a dedicated staff group whose passion is to capture and represent the voice of young people in all that we do and ensure that they are central to all decisions regarding their lives.

This role is pivotal in leading a team of Social Workers and Family Support Workers who provide critical support to Warwick Family Help.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team, tracking key performance indicators and priorities for theservice.
  • Provide regular supervision and management oversight to Social Workers.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhanceservicedelivery.
  • Attend and/or Chair key multiagency meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and safeguarding standards.
  • Leading HR, performance management and absence management processes in addition to focusing on continuous staff development and training in promoting a learning culture
Key Requirements:

Working hours – 37 hrs per week, with agile and flexible working options generally worked from 9am till 5.30 pm Monday – Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays.

Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.

  • Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW)
  • In depth experience in children's social work and experience of complex cases
  • Have excellent analytical skills with ability to make well informed decisions
  • Can record and produce concise, effective, and accuratereports
  • Have good communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage with children and families
