Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for a Team Manager in Looked After Children within the Children's Social Care team based in Bury, Lancashire. The role offers a flexible ongoing opportunity with full-time/part-time options and an hourly salary of £46.00.

The position requires leading a team of social workers, ensuring statutory compliance, and maintaining high professional standards. Travel within the region is reimbursed, and there is a strong focus on professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Significant post-qualification experience in Children's Social Care.
• Experience leading or supervising social work teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a dynamic team of Social Workers and support staff responsible for caseloads of looked after children and care leavers.
• Provide reflective supervision, case direction, and professional support to ensure high-quality social work practice.
• Oversee statutory assessments, care planning, pathway planning, permanence planning, and review processes with adherence to timescales and procedures.
• Monitor risks, safeguarding concerns, and complex child protection issues to safeguard children's best interests.
