A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time permanent team manager to join the Children in Care Teams in Bristol’s Through Care Service.

The Through Care Service, made of the children in care teams and the 16 service, supports children and young people aged 0-25 and their families, through their journey in care and as care leavers.

The Child in Care Service is made up of seven teams.

You will support five social workers, two family support workers and an administrator and work closely with the other six managers.

You will be offered the opportunity to be involved in leading projects and developing the service.

We are based at B Bond in an open plan office overlooking the river and Ashton Court. We have high aspirations for our children and young people and are committed to providing services to achieve the best possible outcomes.

In Through Care we recognise the importance of the child’s whole network in building security and safety. We believe coming into care is an extension of the network our children already have, and a large piece of our work is to maintain this with a focus on children returning home when it is safe for them to do so.

The role is primarily office based in order that you are available to support your team and colleagues.

We are creative in our approach to be certain we meet the needs of our children. Our practice is underpinned by signs of safety with a systemic approach.
