Job summary

Camphill Village Trust's Ashfield House in the United Kingdom is seeking a Team Leader to guide and supervise a dedicated support worker team, ensuring people supported have the best possible quality of life and are supported with dignity and person-centred plans.

This ten-month fixed-term maternity cover requires Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or working towards it) and a DBS check; you will lead meetings, inductions, audits, monthly reporting, training, safeguarding, and adherence

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care, or working towards it
• At least 2 years in health and social care, preferably with people with learning disabilities or autism

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct and supervise the support worker team so people supported have the best possible quality of life
• Model co-productive support, using people's I Statements in everyday practice
• Lead on keeping people safe, happy and healthy, following support plans, risk assessments and SMART targets
• Ensure monthly team meetings, quarterly supervisions, twice-yearly medication competencies and observations of practice take place
• Complete induction for new staff and support them through probation
• Complete audits and KPIs, and ensure actions from quality audits are completed
• Deliver training and act as a role model to staff
• Be responsible for health, safety and infection control in the service
• Comply with safeguarding, equality and diversity, data protection, plus CQC, local authority and Health and Safety at Work Act requirements
• Complete a monthly report and meet pre-set deadlines
• Join the rota as Designated Responsible Person for the community (training given)
• Work with other agencies with transparent communication and challenge bad practice professionally
