Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Production Assembly Team Leader to support a small team in a busy manufacturing environment in Weston-super-Mare. You will lead day-to-day production, allocate workloads, maintain quality and help the team hit output targets while working on the shop floor.

The successful candidate will have previous team-leading or supervisory experience in manufacturing and be comfortable guiding a small team with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small production / assembly team

Job description

We are looking for a hands‑on Production Assembly Team Leader to support a small team within a busy manufacturing environment. This role would suit someone with previous experience leading a production or assembly team who is still comfortable working practically alongside the team on the shop floor. The successful candidate will support day-to-day production, allocate workloads, maintain quality standards and help the team achieve output targets. The work involves small components and metal assembly, so excellent attention to detail, accuracy and a strong quality focus are essential. Previous experience using saws, cutting equipment, hand tools or power tools would be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small production / assembly team

About You

You will ideally have previous Team Leader, Supervisor or Senior Operative experience within manufacturing, production, assembly, fabrication or engineering.

You will be confident leading people while remaining practical and involved in production. A good eye for detail, strong work ethic and drive to improve the team are particularly important.

Experience within fabrication, saw operation, cutting machinery, assembly, technical drawings or hand and power tools would be advantageous.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

There is a degree of flexibility around working hours depending on business requirements.
