Job summary

Glendale (UK) Limited is seeking a Team Leader for the Maidstone - Barming - West Malling area. The role pays £28,710 per annum, with potential for growth through performance-based rewards.

You will lead a diverse team and coordinate on-site maintenance across sites in the Maidstone region. The ideal candidate has horticulture qualifications and at least three years of experience, plus a valid driving licence and strong IT skills.

Qualifications

• Ideally qualified in horticulture with a minimum of 3 years experience.
• Confident person with good people management skills.
• Adaptable to different working techniques with a strong work ethic.
• Experience using a wide variety of small engine machinery.
• Good IT knowledge and a full, clean driving licence.
• PA1 & PA6 is desirable and health & safety awareness.
• Reliable, conscientious, able to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor and Senior Team Leaders in delivering programmed maintenance.
• Manage on-site works, timekeeping, breaks, and liaising with the public and deliveries.
• Lead by example, motivate the team, and maintain workforce discipline.
• Operate and oversee vehicles, machinery, and daily checks with proper recording.
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Supervisor.

A Glimpse into the Role awaiting You

• Assisting the Supervisor and Senior Team Leaders in the effective delivery of the programmed maintenance.
• Taking responsibility for the works on site, including timekeeping, productivity arrangements for breaks, dealing with members of the public, visitors to the site and deliveries.
• Proactively leading by example, motivating and guiding the team and maintaining workforce discipline.
• Operating and ensuring others operate company and hire vehicles, machinery and equipment with care and that daily checks and routine servicing are carried and properly recorded.
• To undertake other duties as may be reasonably required by the Supervisor
