Job summary

Glendale is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader for Middlesbrough to lead on-site maintenance delivery and supervise a small team. You will manage timekeeping, productivity, public interactions, and deliveries while upholding safety and vehicle checks.

Applicants should have proven grounds maintenance experience, strong people management skills, and a full clean driving licence. PA1/PA6 desirable. A competitive salary and progression prospects are offered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor and Senior Team Leaders in delivering programmed maintenance.
• Take responsibility for on-site works, timekeeping, productivity during breaks, and interactions with the public and visitors.
• Lead by example, motivate the team, and maintain workforce discipline.
• Operate and oversee vehicles, machinery and equipment with care; ensure daily checks and servicing are recorded.
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Supervisor.

• Assisting the Supervisor and Senior Team Leaders in the effective delivery of the programmed maintenance.
• Taking responsibility for the works on site, including timekeeping, productivity arrangements for breaks, dealing with members of the public, visitors to the site and deliveries.
• Proactively leading by example, motivating and guiding the team and maintaining workforce discipline.
• Operating and ensuring others operate company and hire vehicles, machinery and equipment with care and that daily checks and routine servicing are carried and properly recorded.
• To undertake other duties as may be reasonably required by the Supervisor
