Job summary

Glendale is recruiting a Grounds Maintenance Operative for sites across the Middlesbrough region. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, and you will work outdoors on a variety of grounds maintenance tasks.

Applicants should hold a full, clean driving licence; PA1/PA6 spraying licences are desirable, and experience with handheld machinery and general horticultural tasks is preferred. Full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a full, clean driving licence and have driving experience with light commercial vehicles.
• PA1/PA6 spraying licences are desirable but not required.
• Experience with grounds maintenance, horticulture and handheld machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mowing large grassed areas and lawn renovation.
• Hedge trimming, line marking and general shrub bed maintenance.
• Sports markings, hedge cutting and hard surface spraying operations.

Who are you?

Applicants must hold a full, clean driving licence and experience of driving light commercial vehicles and towing trailers is desirable. Applicants must be reliable and conscientious, have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn with the ability to work on their own initiative. Preferable PA1, PA6 spraying license. Previous experience of grounds maintenance work, horticultural tasks and use of handheld machinery is desirable but full training will be given.

Undertaking grounds maintenance work including mowing large grassed areas, strimming, blowing, line marking and renovation, hedge trimming along with general maintenance to shrub beds. Sports markings, hedge cutting and hard surface spraying operations.
